Heavy-Duty PG-Thread 90° Elbow Fittings for Flexible Conduit Termination

Flexa LogoFLEXA USW-P fittings are heavy-duty metal-body conduit connectors with an external PG thread and a compact hard 90° elbow. They are designed for terminating compatible flexible conduit where the conduit must change direction immediately at an enclosure, junction box, control panel, or equipment entry.

Their nickel-plated brass construction provides a durable metal-threaded connection and supports bonding continuity where required by the correctly assembled conduit system. USW-P fittings are available for selected FLEXA SPR, FLEXAgraff, and AIRflex conduit families, including non-liquidtight metal, liquidtight metal, and selected liquidtight all-plastic conduit constructions.

Choose the USW-P fitting by compatible conduit family, conduit size, PG thread size, required ingress-protection level, and available installation space.

How to Choose a FLEXA USW-P Fitting

Select the correct USW-P fitting by matching the following:

  1. Conduit family — confirm compatibility with the selected FLEXA SPR, FLEXAgraff, or AIRflex conduit construction.
  2. Conduit size — match the fitting to the conduit’s nominal size and outside diameter.
  3. PG thread size — select the thread required by the enclosure, junction box, control panel, or equipment entry.
  4. Installation geometry — use USW-P where a compact hard 90° direction change is required immediately at the connection point.
  5. Ingress protection — confirm the IP rating of the complete fitting-and-conduit combination for the installation environment.
  6. Bonding requirement — confirm whether grounding continuity is required for the assembled conduit system.

For straight conduit entry with a PG thread, select the corresponding US-P fitting family. Where a smoother bend or easier wire and cable pulling is preferred, review the Metric-thread USB-M family and confirm that its thread configuration suits the installation.

Frequently Asked Questions About USW-P Fittings

A FLEXA USW-P fitting is a heavy-duty nickel-plated brass conduit connector with an external PG thread and a compact hard 90° elbow. It is used where compatible flexible conduit must change direction immediately at the termination point.

Choose a hard 90° elbow where installation space is limited and the conduit must make a compact right-angle turn close to the enclosure or equipment entry.

USW-P fittings are available for selected FLEXA SPR, FLEXAgraff, and AIRflex conduit families. Compatibility depends on the exact fitting size, conduit family, and conduit construction.

Available USW-P fitting combinations range from IP40 to IP67. The achieved rating depends on the selected fitting, compatible conduit, correct assembly, and installation conditions.

Match the fitting’s external PG thread to the enclosure or equipment entry, then confirm that the same fitting is compatible with the selected conduit family and conduit diameter.

USW-P fittings use a hard 90° elbow for angled conduit termination. US-P fittings are straight connectors for direct in-line conduit termination. Both use external PG threads.

USW-P and USW-M use the same general hard 90° elbow design. USW-P has an external PG thread, while USW-M has an external Metric thread.

Need Help Selecting a FLEXA USW-P Fitting?

IBIS can help identify the correct USW-P fitting based on conduit family, conduit size, PG thread, available installation space, ingress-protection requirement, and application conditions.
