FLEXAquick® Metal Thread Strain Relief Fittings

No. FLEXAquick® metal thread strain relief fittings use a quick-connect locking design that eliminates the need for compression nuts and installation hand tools for conduit attachment. The integrated cord grip secures the cable while the fitting locks onto ROHRflex® flexible corrugated conduit.

FLEXAquick® metal thread strain relief fittings are designed to provide secure conduit termination while mechanically supporting and retaining the cable passing through the fitting. Both metal and plastic thread strain relief fittings use the same FLEXAquick® quick-connect conduit attachment system and integrated cord grip design. The metal thread fittings use nickel-plated brass threads, which offer higher mechanical strength and enhanced threaded retention compared with plastic thread fittings. This makes them well suited for applications requiring higher installation torque, vibration resistance, EMC performance, or fire-rated configurations.

Standard strain relief fittings provide mechanical cable retention and conduit termination. FLEXAquick® EMC spring sleeve fittings have an integrated conductive spring that contacts the braided shield of multi-conductor cables to maintain effective shield continuity through the fitting.

The E30-rated version includes an internal intumescent filler that expands when exposed to fire, sealing internal openings within the fitting and helping prevent flame propagation through the conduit system. E30 indicates that the fire containment performance is maintained for a minimum of 30 minutes when installed in accordance with applicable specifications.

The quick-connect locking mechanism allows the conduit to be released by compressing the release ring, and the cord grip can be re-tightened as needed.
