The Flexa FDW-VA 10131801008, formerly 0131.801.008, is an 8.0 x 9.6 mm highly flexible small-diameter conduit constructed as an open stainless steel spiral helix. It is designed for compact wire, cable, sensor lead, fiber optic bundle, and OEM conduit applications.

With an 8.0 mm inside diameter and 9.6 mm outside diameter, this is the largest FDW-VA size in the family. It provides the greatest internal capacity for larger compact wire groups, sensor leads, fiber optic bundles, and other internal components while maintaining a small overall diameter.

FDW-VA can be used for flexible routing, reinforcement, and light-duty mechanical protection where a continuous closed conduit wall is not required. It can also be purchased as the stainless steel core for an OEM’s custom conduit and combined with the OEM’s own fiberglass braid, PVC, silicone, PU, or other outer layers.

The unjacketed stainless steel helix supports an operating temperature range of -200°C to +600°C.

Applications for FDW-VA Stainless Steel Spiral Helix Conduit:

This larger FDW-VA size is used to route and protect compact wire groups, sensor leads, fiber optic bundles, and other internal components where increased capacity and an open stainless steel helix are appropriate.

It can also serve as the reinforcing backbone or stainless steel core for an OEM-built custom conduit. The OEM can add its own braid, jacket, adhesive, or other outer construction to meet the requirements of the completed assembly.
