The Microsonic bks+6/FIU/A is an ultrasonic web edge sensor for contact-free monitoring and positioning of paper, foil and other sound-impermeable or slightly sound-permeable web materials. Its ultrasonic sensing principle provides reliable edge detection where optical systems may be affected by transparency, colour, ambient light or paper dust.
This larger bks+ version has a 60 mm fork width, 73 mm fork depth and a 40 mm (±20 mm) working range with 0.01 mm resolution. It provides one selectable 4–20 mA / 0–10 V analogue output together with one Push-Pull switching output. IO-Link 1.1.3 and Smart Sensor Profile support provide additional parameterisation, process-data and diagnostic functionality.
