The Microsonic bks-6/12/CIU is an ultrasonic web edge sensor designed for contact-free monitoring and positioning of paper, foil and other sound-impermeable web materials. Its ultrasonic operating principle allows reliable edge detection without depending on material colour, transparency or changing ambient light conditions.
This version features an enlarged fork with a 60 mm width and 120 mm depth, providing additional clearance for wider or more difficult web-guiding arrangements. The sensor has an 8 mm (±4 mm) working range with 0.025 mm resolution. A single analogue output can be configured for either 4–20 mA current or 0–10 V voltage, providing a continuous signal proportional to the position of the material edge within the working range. Teach-in adjustment allows the required web position to be set directly at the sensor.
