The Microsonic esf-1/CF/A is a 6 mm x 70 mm Ultrasonic Fork Sensor for Label and Splice Sensing, 1 x push/pull output, IO-Link, M8-4 pin connector.

Designed to detect labels reliably at high web/label speeds.

Features include:

• Design: 6 mm fork gap with 70 mm fork depth
• Sensing: metal-laminated sheets and films up to 0.2 mm thick, self-adhesive films, labels on backing material
• Output: 1 x switching output for label/splice detection
• Simple programming via three Teach-in methods
• Response time < 300 µs up to 2.25 ms, dependent on the material
• 20 – 30 VDC operating voltage
• Easy mounting with M8 – 4 pin connector. IP65 sealing

Applications: The esf-1 is capable of reliably detecting high-transparency and reflective materials, as well as metallized and coloured labels. Its measurement cycle time automatically adjusts to the required ultrasonic power needed. For thin labels and backing materials, the esf-1 operates at maximum speed, with a response time of less than 300 µs.
