esf-1/15/CDF/A Microsonic 6 mm x 165 mm high web speed ultrasonic label and splice sensor, dual digital output, IO-link

The Microsonic esf-1/15/CDF/A is a 6 mm x 165 mm Ultrasonic Fork Sensor for Label and Splice Sensing, 2 x digital outputs, IO-Link, M12-5 pin connector.

Designed to detect labels and web break monitoring at high label speeds.

Features include:

• Design: 6 mm fork gap with extended length 165 mm fork depth
• Sensing: metal-laminated sheets and films up to 0.2 mm thick, self-adhesive films, labels on backing material
• Output: 2 switching outputs, one for label/splice detection and the second for web break monitoring
• Simple programming via three Teach-in methods
• Response time < 300 µs up to 2.25 ms, dependent on the material
• 20 – 30 VDC operating voltage
• Easy mounting with M12 – 5 pin connector. IP65 sealing

Applications: The esf-1 is capable of reliably detecting high-transparency and reflective materials, as well as metallized and coloured labels. Its measurement cycle time automatically adjusts to the required ultrasonic power needed. For thin labels and backing materials, the esf-1 operates at maximum speed, with a response time of less than 300 µs.
