The dbk+4/M12/3CFF/M18 E+S is a Microsonic ultrasonic double-sheet detection system for reliable identification of single sheets, double sheets and missing sheets in automated sheet-fed and material-handling applications. The transmitter sends an ultrasonic signal through the material to the receiver, allowing the system to detect multiple layers without relying on colour, print or optical contrast.

This version uses compact M12 sensing heads and operates with a 20–40 mm transmitter-to-receiver spacing, with an optimal spacing of 20 mm ±3 mm. It provides two Push-Pull switching outputs for double-sheet and missing-sheet signals and includes IO-Link for configuration, diagnostics and communication with compatible machine controls. The smaller sensing heads make this version well suited to installations where available mounting space is limited.

The dbk+4 family is well suited to paper and lighter sheet materials, including films, fine corrugated board, self-adhesive materials, wafers and similar sheet-fed products.
