The Dietz IRDB-6-PSK-ST4 is a discontinued 6.1 mm inductive wire break ring sensor with static sensing, PNP normally open output and M12 connection.
This model was designed for continuous monitoring of conductive wire passing through the sensing opening. If the wire breaks or is no longer detected, the sensor output changes so the machine control system can respond.
Superseded by IRDB 06 PUK-ST4
The IRDB-6-PSK-ST4 has been superseded by the current Dietz IRDB 06 PUK-ST4.
The current model:
- uses the same mounting footprint as the previous Dietz wire break sensors
- uses the same 6.1 mm ring opening
- provides a switchable PNP NO/NC output
- uses an M12 connection
- provides static wire-break sensing
Because the ring size is unchanged, this is a straightforward mechanical replacement, subject to confirming the application requirements.
